An Unlikely Scripture Memory Resource & A Giveaway

2015 planner giveaway

We’ve begun talking about our 2015 (yes, already) planning.  Where is God leading us and what are we feeling we need to accomplish in the new year?

Small victories add up so it’s important to stay on task day by day and week by week as you work toward your goals.  One of my favorite ways to stay organized is a daily planner.  My favorite spiral bound planner is the Homemakers Friend Daily Planner.

I used this planner in the first half of 2014 (before it met its demise when a certain toddler got his hands on it). What I liked about it was the large task list section for each week.  This is a good way to jot down all the tasks you need or want to get done. Then, you can add them to the days as your working out your schedule.

There are many great features in this planner. Here’s a rundown of what you’ll find inside.

There are 7 tabbed sections:

  • Year – Plus there are guide lines you can cut to create tabbed month pages if you choose!
  • Month – Includes Dec 2013 and Jan 2015 to ease the transition from one year to the next.
  • Week – Each week has a task section for the week and then space for each day to write out your plans
  • Tasks
  • Projects
  • Info – Because when the cell battery dies and you can’t find Aunt Ethel’s phone number.
  • Shopping – Awesome perforated 1/3 sheets for shopping trips.
  • Scripture – each week you’ll find a new scripture.  If you find it hard to get into God’s word you can focus on memorizing the scripture of the week.  By year’s end that’s 52 scriptures you’ll have hidden in your heart.

If getting organized or better time management is on your list of goals for 2015 this planner will be a great tool for you to use.

The size of this planner is also ideal for traveling or working on the go. It fits well in your suitcase or even an over sized pocketbook.

  1. Oooh I want the giveaway to start! Pinned 😀

  2. I always plan more for my day than I can accomplish.

  3. I think my biggest challenge is time management. I am always looking for tips & tricks to help me use time wisely and to keep me on track. Thanks for making us aware of this resource and for giving away a copy! 🙂

  4. The biggest challenge for me is finishing things when I have been interrupted (which happens a lot with 2 little ones!) I will realize hours later that I didn’t finish and go back to finish the job.

  5. Rebecca G says:

I love this planner!!! It’s so hard for me to stay on track because I don’t understand my iphone calendar!!!

  6. Peggy S Pace says:

I get distracted so easily and forget what I originally started to do. Hopefully this planner will give me a focus and keep me organized!!

  7. I would love to win this! My biggest distraction is my brain. It doesn’t ever seem to turn off, and I’m trying to get into the habit of carrying paper or a notebook to write things down in. I also forget to add in date nights, when we are having dinner with people, lunch dates, play dates etc. onto my calendar. I also often forget to pull something out of the freezer for dinner, and I think this would help me to make note of what needs to be done and actually remember to do it! Thanks for this great giveaway! 🙂

  8. I am a list maker, not always a list “abider.” My two year old contributes to a “lack” of accomplishment of the to-do list. There have been seasons where I specifically and intentionally limit myself to 3 tasks for the day so I don’t see a long unaccomplished list but a short, completed one. Mind tricks, you know. 🙂

  9. I have a difficult time managing my time, especially on super busy days. I need to write my daily goals down or I will get distracted.

  10. I have a hard time with walking by something and them having to stop and work on that area while I’m already trying to do something else.

  11. I find telephone calls are my biggest distractions/interruptions.

  12. Bethany Brown says:

    Looks like a great planner!

  13. Rebecca Ayers says:

I think it is great if you can plan your life electronically; I, however, need it on paper! Ihave tried and tried but I constantly mess up. Give me a paper planner!

  14. If I can keep it all written down, I do good. Otherwise, I can be a real mess.

  15. Not staying on track is my biggest hindrance. I’ll be working on one thing and get interrupted by a child and while I’m helping them, getting interrupted again, and so on until I forget the first task I was trying to complete.

  16. I find that I will think of another thing to do while I am working on something and leave the first task to begin another…never really finishing anything:( Love this planner!!

  17. I get easily distracted and waste a lot of time, and before I know it the day is over and I have not accomplished anything….then I end up beating myself up because I feel like I was not faithful with my time :/

  18. Staying focused!
