Salted Chocolate Covered Caramels

I love salted caramel and if you add chocolate to the mix it’s even better!

When I decided to try my hand at making some I just did a Google search and I got, according to Google, “about 131,000” results.

So I decided on this recipe.  No particular reason other than the directions were clear and precise and the pictures made me want salted caramel even more.  I love their videos too.

When I posted the picture of my results some of you asked for the recipe so here it is.  Yes, I’m cheating.  I did not create this, I can’t claim it as my own so you’re getting a link to Inspired Taste.

One Slight Change

I made one small change to the salted chocolate covered caramel recipe Joanne and Adam created.  Instead of using corn syrup I used honey.  You can taste the honey but I think it gives it a unique flavor.

Okay, maybe two changes.  I let my caramel sit overnight before I cut it and dipped it in chocolate.  After I cut the caramel into pieces I put them in the refrigerator and pulled a few out at at time to dip. Otherwise I felt like they got too soft.

They aren’t real food, or anything close to it but they are heavenly.  This won’t be the only time I make this recipe.  It’s a keeper for sure!
